Update on my impementation of Seam-carving based scaling.

I thought I would post a couple of other images created by my implementation of seam-carving based resizing.
Here is the effect applied to a photo of some street art (photo from cesarastudillo at flickr). The middle photo is the origional.
In the image above I used a different energy fuctional to the one described in the paper by Shai Avidan and Ariel Shamir in their paper, which I have found to work better over certain styles of images (especially comic like styles).
Notice how the face is not resized, but insead the seams are added and removed around the hair and the black lines.
The image below (by looking glass on flickr) is also resized without losing the proportions of the characters using the same energy functional.
